Nigerian midfielder Raphael Nwadike helped Midtjylland return to winning ways and go top in the league table, following their 2-0 home win against Nordsjaelland, in the Danish Superliga on Friday.
Midtjylland went into the tie on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Brondby, in their last league game.
Nwadike, 20, who made his eight league appearance for the season, played for 90 minutes in the win against Nordsjaelland.
Gustav Isaksen opened scoring for Midtjylland in the 47th minute before Victor Lind made it 2-0 with 13 minutes left in the game
The win means Midtjylland top on 18 points, just a point above Copenhagen who wil play on Sunday.
Nwadike has scored just one goal this season which came in the Champions League qualification against Celtic which Midtjylland won 2-1
