Former Manchester United striker, Michael Owen, has predicted Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg fixtures.
Liverpool will host Benfica in the Champions League second leg tie at Anfield after beating the Portuguese side 3-1 in the first leg last week.
Atletico Madrid will face Premier League champions, Manchester City in Spain after losing 1-0 in the first leg last week.
Providing his predictions, Owen was quoted by BetVictor as saying:
“This should be a straightforward night at Anfield.
“Benfica caused a few problems in Lisbon, but Liverpool deserved to win by at least a couple of goals. 2-0 Liverpool.”
Commenting on the Atletico Madrid vs Man City game, Owen said:
“I am looking forward to this one. The game in Manchester was not much of a spectacle, but 1-0 was not a bad result for Atletico. I think Atletico opening up will suit Man City though, I can see them getting a couple of goals. I think they will edge this 2-1.”
The kick-off time for Atletico Madrid vs Man City is 8 pm, Nigerian time.
